Representatives from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UN Maldives and UNDP Maldives at UNDP's CPD Validation Workshop - August 31, 2021.

August 31, 2021: The Stakeholder Validation Workshop was held today for UNDP’s Country Programme Document (CPD) 2022-2026, with close to 70 stakeholders in attendance. We thank our partners for the meaningful contributions and intelligence throughout. Today’s validation leads us to an enhanced path in building a resilient and sustainable future for the Maldives.

UNDP’s CPD 2022-2026, which sets out our support for the next 5 years, was prepared in consultation with national partners and is aligned with Maldives’ development priorities, the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework and Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development.

Today’s Stakeholder Validation Workshop for the Country Programme Documents for the period 2022-2026 was organized by UN in the Maldives to present the CPD’s of UNDP, UNFPA and UNICEF to our partners. The CPD's will prioritize agencies' support to the Maldives in the next 5 years and will contribute to the acceleration of the achievement of SDGs in the Maldives.

With today’s validation of stakeholders for the Country Programme Documents 2022-2026, we look forward to presenting the documents for the Government’s endorsement. UNDP stands ready along with the UN in the Maldives, to achieve broadly shared prosperity for communities, to create opportunities and to expand people’s choices and capabilities - towards peace and prosperity for people and the planet. This is how we can achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
