Remarks by UNDP Reident Representative Akiko Fujii at the Closing Ceremony of Youth Leadership 2019
11 July, Male’: Released earlier today, the “Youth Vulnerability Assessment in the Maldives” is an extensive research conducted through the collaborative efforts of National Counter Terrorism Centre and UNDP Maldives with support from the Government of Japan. This research was carried out with the important objective of finding the root causes and vulnerabilities that could make Maldivian youth susceptible to radicalization and violent extremism.
Launched on 16th August 2017 to empower young people to explore & form narratives on issues faced in society through the medium of film.
Malé, 20th May, 2019: Ms. Akiko Fujii, the new Resident Representative for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the Maldives presented her credentials to His Excellency Mr. Abdulla Shahid, Minister of Foreign Affairs, during a brief ceremony in his office today.
