UNDP Thematic Trust Funds - 2016 Annual Report

March 12, 2018

This 2016 Annual Report highlights approaches and results achieved in addressing development challenges at local, national, regional and global levels under the UNDP Thematic Trust Funds for Crisis Prevention and Recovery (CPR TTF); Democratic Governance (DG TTF); and Environment (ETTF), three distinct yet interconnected funding mechanisms that support key programmatic outcome areas of work within UNDP.

From support to the transitional justice process in Liberia under the CPR TTF; to DG TTF support to catalytic activities at the regional level aimed at improving people’s access to effective legal services; to the ETTF-housed UN REDD+ Programme which developed mechanisms to enable the full and effective inclusion of women, indigenous peoples, civil society organizations, local communities and other stakeholders, in design and decision making for REDD+ actions, initiatives across the Thematic Trust Funds have remained as always, anchored in the human-rights-based approach, whether it be in the context of economic, social, environmental, political or cultural rights.
